My Background
With two decades in the circus arts, I’ve built a multifaceted career as a performer, creator, and manager. My journey began in competitive gymnastics before I discovered circus at 12, training at San Francisco Circus Center. After earning a theater degree from Colgate University, I honed my craft at Montreal’s National Circus School, specializing in Chinese hoop diving and acrobatics. Despite setbacks from injuries—including a torn Achilles and ACL—I’ve worked with renowned companies like Cirque du Soleil and Les 7 Doigts, excelling in roles from performer to acrobatic designer and director.
At its core, circus is a transformative art form—a collision of movement, music, and human expression. I believe its magic lies in collaboration, where diverse voices and disciplines merge to create something extraordinary. From intimate events to grand stages like Madison Square Garden, I design performances that balance artistic vision with audience accessibility. My process is deeply collaborative: I champion each artist’s unique strengths while refining ideas into cohesive, impactful storytelling.
Theater taught me the precision of words, but circus revealed the power of physical narrative. Every act I create is rooted in clear, emotional arcs—each gesture layered with intention and backstory. Drawing on my training in character development and expressive movement, I craft performances that resonate instantly, whether in a whimsical ensemble piece or a solo tour de force. For me, circus isn’t just spectacle; it’s a language of connection, where every flip, glance, and pause speaks volumes.
I am endlessly grateful for everything my theater and circus journey has taught me—not just the skills, but the profound connections forged through trust, creativity, and shared struggle. There’s something magical about the bonds formed while catching each other mid-fall and I’m honored to be part of a community that embraces all identities with open-hearted curiosity. As I move forward, I’m thrilled to keep exploring new styles and pushing the boundaries of circus arts, blending my organizational, analytical, and practical experience to adapt, innovate, and collaborate. Most of all, I’m excited to share what I’ve learned, uplifting others while continuing to grow—because circus isn’t just an art form; it’s a home, and I can’t wait to see where it takes us next.
